Confident Christians in Caring Communities,
Connecting God's love with all.

Prayer

Steve Ryan one of our circuit local preachers has written the below prayer following the earthquake in Syria and Turkey. Please feel free to use it in private / public prayers.

Lord we bring our prayers for the people of Syria and Turkiye who have suffered so much Kyrie Eleison, Lord have mercy
We pray for frontline workers on the ground in Syria and Turkiye. In line with 1 Timothy 2v2 we pray for President Erdogan of Turkiye and al-Assad of Syria, that their governments will cut through bureaucracy, lead courageously and grant free access to the aid agencies seeking to serve on the ground. Kyrie Eleison, Lord have mercy
God of shalom, in the chaos of this crisis we pray for divine connections and a spirit of cooperation instead of competition. Would you streamline the important relationships between NGOs and suppliers, churches, Mosques and other agencies for the sake of those who are suffering the most. Kyrie Eleison, Lord have mercy.
Holy Spirit, you who brooded over the formless void and created order, protect and provide for those who are grieving, those who are homeless, and those bringing emergency relief. We pray also for your church in these ancient bible lands. Anoint your people to bring the good news to the poor and to bind up the broken-hearted. Kyrie Eleison, Lord have mercy.
